Adamorobe Stool Battle Heats Up Days After Mikki Osei Berko’s Installation

Mikki Osei Berko (Dada Boat)

Barely a week after his enstoolment drew applause, Mikki Osei Berko is already navigating tension over the Adamorobe stool.

The popular actor, otherwise known as Master Richard or Dada Boat, was installed under the stool name Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II. What appeared to be a straightforward assumption of traditional authority has instead sparked a growing dispute.

The situation took a turn when a rival group stepped forward to question his legitimacy. Central to the challenge is Douglas Amoako Danquah, who is said to be behind plans for a separate enstoolment ceremony scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2026.

Elders of Adamorobe have pushed back strongly against that move, describing it as both needless and unlawful.

Reports, alongside an alleged court document circulating online, indicate the elders’ position is clear. They insist the stool is not vacant and recognise Mikki Osei Berko as the rightful occupant.

They further argue that any parallel installation would amount to a breach of peace and defy a restraining order reportedly obtained through the Ghana Police Service.

The actor’s claim to the stool is also said to have the backing of Nana Djan Kwasi I, the Aburihene.
