Choirmaster has finally broken his silence following the heartbreaking death of his wife, Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo, with a statement released on behalf of himself and his family expressing gratitude, grief, and a plea for privacy.
The statement, issued on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, arrives amid an outpouring of tributes and condolences from colleagues, fans, and loved ones after news of Beverly Afaglo’s passing stunned the entertainment fraternity and many Ghanaians.
In the release, the former Praye member, born Eugene Baah, acknowledged the massive support shown to the family during what they described as an extremely painful period.
“During this incredibly difficult time, Eugene and his family are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and condolences from friends, fans, and well-wishers,” portions of the statement read.
The family also appealed to the public to respect their privacy as they mourn the late actress and reflect on the life she lived.
According to the statement, Choirmaster is currently undergoing medical care and is unable to respond to calls due to the emotional toll caused by the tragedy.
“The family respectfully requests privacy as they continue to grieve and honor Beverly’s life and legacy. Eugene is currently receiving medical care and cannot take calls,” the statement added.
The release further called on the media and the public to avoid speculation and refrain from attempting direct contact with the grieving family.
They noted that information regarding memorial activities and related arrangements would be communicated in due course.
The statement concluded with heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has stood by the family with prayers, kindness, and support during one of the most painful moments of their lives.
