Ghanaian actress Pascaline Edwards has reflected on a childhood she says was shaped by unusual and unexplainable experiences that set her apart from those around her.
According to her, the difference showed early, especially through visions she believes only she could perceive.
In an interview with ZionFelix on YouTube, she indicated that even as a child, she sensed she was not like others and that people around her picked up on it too.
“Sometimes when a child is born, people say she’s reincarnated or acting like an elderly person because of how she behaves, acts, and talks. That is me. I’m an old soul and I have been on this earth before,” she said.
She recounted moments from her childhood where what she saw caused fear among her peers, though she did not immediately understand the reason behind their reactions.
“I could be walking with my friends and then I could see people coming towards us. Because I didn’t know who I really was, I assumed my friends were seeing what I was seeing. I later came to realise I was the only one seeing it,” she explained.
She added that instead of being guided or reassured, she often faced dismissal from adults who were unsettled by her claims.
“If I said I was seeing something, people shut me up and told me kids don’t say such things. Eventually I grew up seeing but not talking,” she said.
Pascaline Edwards further noted that she later turned to religious leaders in search of clarity, but said their answers never quite aligned with her experiences.
“I wanted to find out why I was seeing things that people weren’t, so I spoke to some pastors. But usually, with the explanations they give, I tell them it’s not so. It became like a challenge,” she disclosed.
