Bishop Daniel Obinim has opened up about the reasons behind his growing discomfort with some of the friendships his wife, Florence Obinim, has recently cultivated, pointing specifically to her association with Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur Osebo the Zaraman.
The founder of the International God’s Way Church made the remarks in a video circulating on social media, where he revisited past tensions involving Osebo and explained why he believes the relationship is a source of concern.
According to Obinim, his unease is rooted in accusations made years ago by Osebo, who alleged that the preacher had an affair with his former wife. Obinim said the fallout from those claims prompted him to advise Florence to keep her distance from the fashionista, but she chose not to follow that advice.
The outspoken preacher also cited a recent TikTok video that attracted widespread attention online, showing Osebo dancing with Florence Obinim. He described the clip as inappropriate and said it heightened his concerns.
Obinim further disclosed that he had urged his wife not to involve Osebo in the production of her latest gospel music video, arguing that their history made such a collaboration unsuitable.
“I told her not to shoot the music video for her new gospel song with Osebo because of our history. I had already seen the TikTok video. I wouldn’t do something she dislikes just to hurt her.
“After telling her not to do it, she still went ahead and shot the video with Osebo, and ever since then, I have been worried. She wasn’t someone who used to be interested in friendships like this, but she has changed,” he said.
The strained relationship between the two men dates back several years.
In 2016, Osebo publicly accused Bishop Daniel Obinim of having a relationship with his then-wife, Ohenemaa. He maintained that the alleged affair was among the issues that contributed to the breakdown of his marriage.
Speaking during an interview in 2020, Osebo revisited the matter and shared his views on infidelity.
“When a man calls a woman at night, what do you think he wants? Even though people cheat, it takes a fool to sleep with another man’s wife. If you sleep with another man’s wife, your children will inherit generational curses,” Osebo said in an interview in 2020.
