Maame Serwaa, the wife of Ghanaian actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, well known as LilWin, has spoken about her approach to the criticism and controversies that frequently surround her husband on social media.
She said the comments and attacks directed at the actor online do not affect her because her understanding of him is based on personal experience rather than public opinions shared on the internet.
In an interview shared on social media on August 2, 2026, Maame Serwaa explained that she has become accustomed to the discussions surrounding LilWin and chooses not to give attention to online narratives about him.
According to her, people who criticise or troll the actor online often do so without knowing his true personality away from the public eye.
“It doesn’t bother me because my husband is a social media person and people will talk about him no matter what. Those talking about him and trolling him on social media don’t know him better than I do,” she said.
She noted that social media has made it easier for people to form strong opinions about public figures without ever meeting them or understanding their character.
Maame Serwaa added that she prefers to concentrate on her relationship with LilWin rather than be influenced by comments from people who only know him through online discussions.
“I don’t take any social media controversy seriously. Anyone can just pick up their phone and type what they want, whether they’ve met the person before or not, so it doesn’t bother me,” she further stated.
