Entertainment pundit MC Yaa Yeboah believes Shatta Wale is unlikely to finance a concert at London’s O2 Arena from his own pocket, insisting the dancehall star has never hidden his position on investing personal funds in overseas shows.
According to her, the musician has repeatedly made it clear that he prefers performing at international events funded by promoters or investors rather than personally bearing the cost of organising them.
Sharing her views during a conversation with entertainment journalist Vida Adutwumwaa on August 4, 2026, MC Yaa Yeboah challenged those who expect Shatta Wale to independently secure the famous London venue for a concert.
“Will Shatta use his personal money to organize a show in London? He will never do it. I dare him to go and book O2 Arena with his own money for his show,” she said.
She argued that the musician’s stance is consistent with comments he has made over the years about spending his own resources on projects outside Ghana.
“The reason is, he has said it himself that he doesn’t see the need in doing those things. It doesn’t make sense to him to organize a show abroad. Even with music videos, he wouldn’t shoot his music video outside the country. I don’t know if he would one day change his mind on that because he has said it several times,” she stated.
MC Yaa Yeboah further explained that Shatta Wale has no reservations about performing at major international venues when the event is backed by external financiers.
“One thing about Shatta is that, if the show has to do with someone who’s organising the event, he will mix himself up with the person. When he gets an investor who would tell him to book O2 for his show, he would gladly do it but for him to use his own money to book O2 Arena for his show, he will never do it,” she further stated.
