‘No Politician Paid for My Trip’ – Yaw Dabo Reveals US Sponsor

Yaw Dabo

Ghanaian actor Yaw Dabo has rejected claims that a government official or politician funded his recent trip to the United States, saying the cost of his flight was covered by Dr ‘Time Daso’ of Medimafo Herbal Hospital.

The Kumawood star, who is also known for his strong interest in football, said no politician had any involvement in his travel arrangements.

Yaw Dabo made the clarification during an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on August 10, 2026, after claims surfaced that his trip had been sponsored by the government.

According to the actor, Dr Time Daso’s support was limited to his airfare. He said he personally paid for his accommodation and other expenses incurred during his stay in the US.

“I heard Dada Santo saying that the government sponsored my trip, but it’s not true. No politician paid for my trip to the US. It’s Dr Time Daso of Medimafo Herbal Hospital who sponsored me,” he said.

Yaw Dabo stressed that the sponsorship did not extend beyond his flight ticket, making it clear that he was responsible for the rest of his travel costs.

“He paid for just my ticket and nothing more. My hotel and other expenses are not included,” Yaw Dabo stated.

The actor also dismissed the suggestion that his decision to travel to watch the FIFA World Cup was a new development. He said attending the tournament has become something of a tradition for him, with his activities during World Cup seasons often attracting significant attention online.

“Every World Cup season, I travel to watch. Every four years during the World Cup, I say things and they trend,” Dabo averred.
