A Ghanaian preacher has stirred conversation online after making a controversial claim about men’s grooming, warning that certain haircut and beard-styling practices could prevent them from entering heaven.
Prophet Francis Kofi Annan made the remarks in a video shared on X, where he spoke about what he claimed to have witnessed during a spiritual encounter with the land of the dead.
According to the preacher, men who shape their hairline, mustache or beard after trimming their hair could be putting their souls at risk.
He claimed that during his alleged spiritual experience, he encountered several people in hell because of such grooming practices.
“Any man who shapes his hairline, mustache, or beard after trimming will not make it to heaven. As a man, you should either shave all your hair or leave it in its natural shape as it is.
“If you trim your beard, you should not shape it because these are some of the things that can take you to hell. These are the things I saw when I visited the land of the dead,” he said.
Prophet Francis Kofi Annan also directed his criticism at some pastors, accusing them of adopting fashionable grooming styles to appeal to young women within their congregations.
He suggested that some male pastors deliberately add lines to their haircuts or shape their beards because they want to appear attractive.
“Some pastors also put lines in their hair after a shave. They do this because they want to attract young ladies in the church, but they do not know that such actions can lead them to hell.
“They see it as fashion, but they do not realise that God does not approve of it,” Prophet Francis Kofi Annan further stated.
