Rapper Agbeko has entered rehabilitation at Pantang Hospital after fellow artiste Edem and his team stepped in to help him begin treatment. This follows years of personal struggles that had taken a toll on Agbeko’s life and career.
Edem announced the development on his X page on November 21, 2025, explaining that the Volta Regime Music Group team coordinated the process and agreed to fund the entire programme.
“It’s with great joy that I share with all well-wishers and family that Agbeko reached out this week and said he was ready to get help. My team at VRMG and I arranged for him to begin rehabilitation at Pantang and pledged to take care of all expenses during his stay,” he said.
Agbeko’s acceptance of the offer came shortly after he had earlier declined support. Concerns about his wellbeing intensified in recent weeks after a video circulated online showing him asking Andy Dosty for money to buy food.
The video led to an appearance on Hitz FM, where Agbeko told Andy Dosty that an ex-partner had introduced him to drugs. The revelation prompted widespread conversation in the music community and pushed Edem to take a more active role.
Edem hinted that the decision to help was driven by respect for Agbeko’s artistry and a desire to see him recover.
