Actor Oboy Siki has publicly apologized to fellow actor Yaw Dabo following the latter’s decision to take legal action over comments Siki made.
In an interview with GHPage TV on January 21, 2026, Oboy Siki admitted that he has not spoken directly to Yaw Dabo since receiving the court summons. He revealed, however, that he reached out to Akwasi Antwi to mediate and request forgiveness on his behalf.
“I’ve not spoken to Yaw Dabo personally. When I received the letter, I called Akwasi Antwi and asked him to tell Yaw Dabo to forgive me. He should withdraw the case from court since both of us were good friends and we can’t take each other to court over small issues,” Siki said.
Oboy Siki said the remarks that sparked the lawsuit were made in a moment of anger and were never intended to tarnish Yaw Dabo’s reputation.
“I’m here today because of the claims he made. I want him to know that when anger arises, people say things that are not supposed to be said. He should just see everything I said as jokes so he can forgive me. I don’t see the need to take this issue to court,” he explained.
The actor expressed disappointment that Yaw Dabo, whom he considered a mentee and confidant, felt the need to pursue legal action.
“He used to talk to me about everything because he saw me as a father. I later got worried that someone who talked to me about everything had taken me to court,” Oboy Siki averred.
He concluded by reiterating that his comments were never meant to demean Yaw Dabo. “I didn’t say what I said intentionally or to disgrace him as he thinks and I’m deeply sorry for that.”
