Kwaw Kese Eyes MP Seat, Plans Political Move When Finances Allow

Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese

Kwaw Kese is setting his sights beyond the recording booth and onto the political stage. The veteran Hiplife artiste says Parliament could be part of his future, but only when his finances are solid enough to support the move.

In an interview with George Quaye on JoyPrime TV, the rapper was direct about his political ambition, though he made it clear that timing is everything.

“Yeah. When I get enough money, then I will,” he said when asked if he had plans to go into politics.

Kwaw Kese hinted that the journey would begin at the constituency level. He indicated that his focus would be on serving the people who raised him, positioning himself as a parliamentary candidate for his hometown.

“I would start as an MP. Yeah. I’d represent my people, Agona Swedru,” he explained.

He also pointed to someone he believes could help him navigate the terrain when the moment arrives. The musician and political activist Kwame A Plus, who hails from a neighbouring area, would be among those he would turn to for counsel.

“If I want to enter politics, A Plus is my neighbour, Gomoa and Agona, so I can tap into his blessings, I can seek advice,” Kwaw Kese further stated.
