Ghanaian artiste KiDi has revealed that his time with Lynx Entertainment has quietly come to an end, marking a new chapter in his career as an independent act.
The singer made the disclosure during a TikTok Live chat with Code Micky, where he spoke about his current status and the timing of his departure. According to KiDi, the split is not recent but dates back to the period he was rolling out “Gymnastic,” his collaboration with Olivetheboy and Kojo Black.
He pointed to that release as the moment his exit began to take shape after several years under the label’s wing.
“During the ‘Lomo Lomo’ days I was there, gymnastics was my exit,” KiDi confirmed.
The conversation also touched on a widely held belief within the industry that artistes often lose momentum once they leave Lynx Entertainment, a label credited with shaping several top-tier Ghanaian acts.
Code Micky highlighted that perception during the discussion, suggesting that many expect former Lynx signees to struggle when it comes to producing hit records on their own.
KiDi, however, seems intent on rewriting that narrative. His latest single “Signature,” featuring Lasmid, is already building strong traction and positioning itself among the current standouts on the scene.
“There’s a perception in the system that when an artiste leaves Lynx they struggle to get hits but your case is different. ‘Signature’ is currently one of the hit songs in the country,” he stated.
