Fresh remarks from gospel singer Florence Obinim have stirred fresh debate online, with many social media users linking her comments to the persistent public scrutiny surrounding her marriage to Bishop Daniel Obinim.

Speaking during a sermon captured in a video shared on TikTok, the gospel musician delivered a message about love, relationships, and emotional resilience, making it clear that she does not see herself as someone who would be devastated if a partner walked away.

Addressing her congregation, Florence Obinim explained that losing someone she loves would not leave her heartbroken. Instead, she said her sympathy would be directed at the person who chose to leave.

“If I love someone and the person leaves me, I don’t get heartbroken. Rather, I pity the person. What wrong have I done for you to pay me back that way?

“I would have done so many good things for you, so why should I beg and cry for forgiveness?” she said.

She further stated that she would never plead for forgiveness or shed tears over an accusation tied to something she had not done, insisting that she would not lower herself to seek mercy for wrongdoing she did not commit.

Florence Obinim went on to explain that her faith shapes the way she approaches relationships. According to her, she does not place her entire heart in another human being because she believes it belongs to God.

The singer stressed that heartbreak is not something she expects to experience, dismissing suggestions that she is currently going through emotional pain.

“Loving me is not by words because my heart does not belong to a human being for me to suffer heartbreak. You must be unwell to tell me that you are heartbroken.

“Why would anyone laugh at me and say I have been heartbroken? The day I become heartbroken, then it means God has forsaken me,” she added.

Her comments have since generated widespread reactions online, with many netizens offering their own interpretations of the message.

Some social media users believe the remarks were aimed at her husband, Bishop Daniel Obinim, citing the long-running controversies and public discussions that have frequently surrounded their marriage.
