Rotary and Rotaract Clubs Of Sunyani Central Get New Presidents

Presidents of both the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Sunyani Central in the Bono Region have been sworn into office to lead their respective groups for the next year.

The new President of the Rotary Club of Sunyani Central is Professor Jones Lewis Arthur, who also serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Sunyani Technical University. Theresah Apreku has been appointed as the new President of the Rotaract Club of Sunyani Central.

Board members for both clubs were also sworn in during the ceremony.

In his remarks following the swearing-in, Professor Arthur praised his predecessors for their efforts in implementing various developmental projects.

“Over the past years, Rotary clubs in Ghana have engaged in numerous service activities aimed at improving community well-being and fostering development. These activities include initiatives in health, education, water and sanitation, and economic growth,” he said.

Rotarian President Professor Arthur outlined his vision for the upcoming year.

“My vision for our club for the 2024-2025 Rotary year is rooted in the core objectives of Rotary International and aligns seamlessly with the goals of District 9104. Together, we will focus on increasing our impact, expanding our reach, enhancing participant engagement, and boosting our ability to adapt.”

He also called for support from the club members. “To achieve these ambitious goals, I call upon each member of Rotary Central to actively participate and bring your unique strengths to the table. Your dedication, ideas, and hard work are the foundation upon which we will build our future. Let us unite under this shared vision, support one another, and work diligently to attain the goals we have set.”

The immediate past President of the Rotary Club of Sunyani Central, Rotarian Alhassan Biyira, urged club members to offer the same level of support to the new leadership as they did during his tenure.
