I Trusted President Akufo-Addo But He Has Failed To Fight Galamsey; I Am Very Sad – Kwabena Kwabena
Famous Ghanaian Highlife musician George Kwabena Adu, popularly known as Kwabena Kwabena, has expressed disappointment with President Akufo-Addo’s performance.
The ‘Asor’ composer believes that after being elected into office, Nana Addo and the current NPP government have failed to deliver on their promises.
A known supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who has campaigned for them on several occasions, Kwabena Kwabena did not hold back his views during a discussion with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM.
He expressed deep disappointment in President Akufo-Addo for failing to address the issue of illegal mining (galamsey) after pledging to tackle it.
Kwabena Kwabena lamented the destruction of water bodies in Ghana due to galamsey and was shocked that the president had neither spoken on the matter nor issued a statement.
The popular musician further stated that he feels saddened by the state of affairs in the country.
Recalling President Akufo-Addo’s promise to put his presidency on the line to fight galamsey, Kwabena Kwabena noted that the outcome would likely have been different if Ghana were a European country.
