I don’t need a relationship for now – Sista Afia

Ghanaian songstress Francisca Gawugah, popularly known as Sista Afia, has opened up about her stance on relationships and record deals.

Speaking on Hitz FM’s DayBreak Hitz, the ‘Weather’ singer revealed that she is currently not seeking a relationship but won’t turn away the right person if he comes along.

“I’m not looking for a relationship right now. I don’t need it at this point. I do get approached, but I don’t get involved because relationships take a lot from me. I’ve turned down many people because I want to prioritize myself. My past relationships didn’t go well, so I’d rather be on my own,” she shared.

However, Sista Afia clarified that she remains open to love. “I’m not stopping anyone from coming into my life. If I feel you’re the one, then you’re the one. Every girl needs that,” she added.

On the topic of music deals, the singer emphasized her preference for partnerships over full record label contracts.

“I’d sign a deal but not a label. I’d never go for a 360 deal. I prefer collaborations, distribution deals, publishing deals, and promo deals, but not signing with a label. I’ve built myself to a certain standard, so I’m not starting from scratch. A 360 deal would have to be extremely beneficial for me to consider it,” Sista Afia explained.
