Ghanaian Gospel musician, Diana Asamoah, has offered a spiritual perspective on the 15-year jail term handed to Nana Agradaa, asserting it is a divine intervention rather than a misfortune.
In a video shared online, Asamoah directed a heartfelt message to Agradaa’s husband, Angel Asiamah, encouraging him to remain hopeful amid the crisis.
“I want to tell Angel Asiamah not to worry. He should return as a transformed person. He is a great evangelist,” she said.
According to Asamoah, Agradaa’s imprisonment is part of a higher plan to refine her calling and spiritual walk.
“God has deliberately allowed her to be imprisoned, and it is for a purpose. God knows why He has separated her from her properties. When God calls you and you’re being stubborn, He has a way of humbling you,” she remarked.
Diana Asamoah also issued a sharp rebuke to individuals who claim spiritual authority but live in contradiction to their professed calling.
“To those of you who claim to be called by God yet are selling gari, and when I speak out you threaten my life, your time will come. Don’t worry.”
Nana Agradaa, born Patricia Asiedua, was sentenced on July 3, 2025, after being found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and five counts of defrauding by false pretence. The charges stem from a viral 2022 video in which she promised congregants at her church in Weija that she could “double” their cash offerings, a claim that sparked national outrage and legal action.
