Veteran hiplife figure Reggie Rockstone has come to Stonebwoy’s defense after a short video from Davido’s lavish white wedding triggered a wave of online rumors.
The star-studded event, held on August 9, 2025, featured the famous Ghanaian artiste as one of the key performers. While thrilling the audience, a bracelet slipped from his wrist, prompting him to bend down mid-performance to retrieve it. That simple act became the subject of wild speculation on social media.
Some netizens claimed Stonebwoy was scooping up dollar bills sprayed during the celebration. The claims persisted despite immediate clarifications from his wife, Dr. Louisa, and others who insisted he was merely picking up his jewelry.
Addressing the controversy on Instagram, Rockstone dismissed the gossip as unfounded and driven by malice.
“First of all, if he picked that money off the floor, remember who that money is for… The money they sprayed on him is actually for him. He can pick up the money because it is for him. Do you guys pay his school fees, or do you people take care of him?
On the surface, it just sounds like trolling. You people think it is normal, but it isn’t. It is witchcraft. It isn’t normal. If you people don’t stop this shit, you will suffer tenfold,” he said.
He went further, stressing that even if Stonebwoy had indeed taken the sprayed cash, there was nothing shameful about it.
“All human beings should be humble. You are not too big to pick up money from the floor. You think Stonebwoy came from a rich family. You know the man hustled, you know where he came from.
Even if he had picked up the money from the floor, I still would be clapping from a negro,” the veteran Ghanaian artiste further stated.
