Stonebwoy Reacts to EOCO’s Seizure of Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini, Says He Saw It Coming

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy has reacted to the Economic and Organised Crime Office’s (EOCO) confiscation of Shatta Wale’s 2019 Lamborghini Urus, saying the development was predictable.

The luxury vehicle was reportedly impounded after an FBI investigation linked it to a fraud case. While the news has dominated entertainment circles, Stonebwoy claims he had long suspected there was more behind his industry colleague’s extravagant lifestyle.

In a recent interview with The Fix, he remarked:

“You see when you follow the news properly, me as a man we know the truth before the truth comes out, but from where I stand, you can’t two talk you know. I made some revelations already before stuff got going on.”

Stonebwoy’s comments trace back to 2024, when Shatta Wale first announced the Lamborghini purchase. Speaking then on Kumasi-based Angel FM, Stonebwoy referred to him as a “settings man”, a term he says was based on insider knowledge.

“I remember that thing I said, everybody say Stonebwoy ah prophet, me say listen me, listen me, I’m a fan of music, I’m musician too, but fortunately I’m an insider, me know whole heap of things where you can’t know,” he recalled.

Explaining the slang further, he added:

“Settings, it’s a Ghanaian slang, me want the Jamaican them adapt it. When I say a man is a settings man, him love to set up things, that means, like he is packaging the thing them but it’s not the real one, it’s not the real situation.”

Beyond the Lamborghini incident, Stonebwoy argued that the entertainment scene is filled with artists whose image doesn’t match their financial reality.

“See, we know the industry, trust me, we know the industry and we know how it’s set. If you look it, if you flash it, it’s not everybody who can really have it or afford it, but believe me, everybody want to be like, you know, many people want to really flash it and all of that, so that news that is coming out.

“I don’t mean to say nothing, because there are one part I watch the whole film. I’m full, but me know certain things, whole heap of things in the backgrounds where me is not a fan of, because I say most often, that if some of the things that I knew was known by some other people on the other side, I wouldn’t sleep. I would lose my head over it.”
