Selina Boateng Advises Women to Avoid Relationships Built Only on Sex

Selina Boateng

Ghanaian Gospel singer, Selina Boateng, has advised women not to confuse physical intimacy with genuine love, stressing that relationships fueled mainly by sexual satisfaction are fragile and emotionally draining.

In a recent interview on Hitz FM, she drew a clear line between lust and lasting affection.

“If you get a guy and you love him so much because of the sex, it is not love. If you are thinking that because he satisfies you, you won’t let him go, you are wrong,” she stated.

Boateng emphasized that placing intimacy at the core of a relationship often creates anxiety and mistrust. “You will always be thinking that he is cheating on you or dating other girls, and you will not be able to rest. So it is best to let the man go,” she cautioned.

Her comments echo earlier guidance she has shared with young people, encouraging them to take time in truly understanding their partners before marriage and to resist societal pressures that can cloud judgment in matters of the heart.
