Fans of Sarkodie were left puzzled in recent days after noticing that his albums ‘Jamz’ and ‘No Pressure’ had vanished from streaming platforms. The rapper has now cleared the air, assuring them that the disappearance is only temporary and has nothing to do with speculation about him selling off his catalogue.
Speaking candidly during an Instagram Live session on September 1, 2025, Sarkodie explained that the albums were taken down as part of a transition to a new music distributor.
“So what is happening is we are doing a re-upload with a new distribution channel. We have a new partnership that we have to…but it was supposed to be very smooth, but that couldn’t happen,” he revealed.
He acknowledged that the transfer was expected to be seamless but instead faced delays. “So now we took down, now we have to re-upload. So I think it was actually supposed to go back today, but let’s see if not, maybe midnight or… I’m really pushing the team to get it back on. So don’t worry guys,” Sarkodie told his fans, urging patience.
The rapper stressed that the issue was purely technical and part of an internal process.
“It’s a thing that came from our side that we had to do the transition of moving it from one distribution channel to the other, but then it was supposed to be very smooth, and that thing is very hard, but then it went down,” Sarkodie further stated.
