Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has revealed that she is open to the idea of becoming a second wife, citing the challenges she faces in finding a compatible partner.
Speaking in a recent interview, the ‘You4Me’ singer reflected on her dating experiences and why she now views the possibility of being a second wife differently.
According to the Nigerian singer, most of the men who express interest in her are either already married or much older.
“If I meet somebody who can really marry me, they are either in their 50s or already married. So, I don’t know. Maybe I can be a second wife. I think so. I could be a second wife,” she said.
Tiwa, 45, added that she would approach such an arrangement with maturity and respect for the first wife, stressing that she has no interest in conflict.
“I think I can get along with the first wife, and she’s going to love me because I’m not going to be troublesome. I’ll be going on tours, so I’m not really going to stress you. I’m very respectful. I know that you are the first wife and would accord you that respect,” she explained.
The award-winning artiste was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz, from 2013 to 2016.
