Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur D-Black has shared an unexpected story about his past dating life, revealing that he and fellow rapper EL were unknowingly involved with the same woman.
The revelation came during an interview in which the two musicians reflected on how they eventually discovered the unusual connection.
D-Black recalled that the woman visited him shortly after he had moved back to North Kaneshie following the end of a long-term relationship. She spent some time at his house before telling him she would return home the following day.
According to D-Black, she later sent him a message confirming that she had arrived safely. She also shared a video of her dog with him, seemingly putting any doubt about her whereabouts to rest.
But things took an unexpected turn when D-Black spotted her car outside EL’s house.
He explained that he had decided to drive to a supermarket to buy drinks for his studio when he noticed the vehicle parked outside his colleague’s residence.
“I decided to drive myself to the supermarket that day. After she left, she texted me that she was home and sent me a video of her dog. But when I was leaving the gas station, I saw the girl’s car in front of EL’s house. I said, ‘Oh wow, interesting,’ and she had just texted me that she was home. So EL’s house was home,” he said.
Rather than confront either the woman or EL, D-Black said he let the matter pass because his relationship with her was not particularly serious at the time.
The twist, however, is that EL was unaware that D-Black had also been seeing the same woman.
EL, who participated in the interview, said he only recently learned about the connection between them.
“I just found out recently because he didn’t tell me back then. The girl I was dating, he also had something to do with her,” EL said.
Looking back at the coincidence, D-Black appeared amused by the fact that the two musicians had been living in the same neighborhood while unknowingly dating the same woman.
“We both lived in North Kaneshie, and we just found out we were dating the same girl. She knows herself,” he averred.
