Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa or Mama Pat, has taken a decisive step toward resolving her long-running feud with gospel singer Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye by issuing a full retraction and a formal apology for the damaging statements she previously circulated.
Her apology, dated 4 December 2025, was released through Agyaa Asamani Law Consult, the legal team handling her case. The statement was signed by her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, Esq., who confirmed that Agradaa had accepted responsibility for the allegations she posted on social media in May 2025.
According to the letter, Agradaa admitted that her comments were false, unfounded, and made in a moment of heightened emotion. The document notes that although she reacted to remarks she believed were made by Mr. Hopeson Adorye, she now recognizes that her own posts severely misrepresented Empress Gifty’s character.
The release explains that her earlier statements wrongfully suggested immorality and unchastity on the part of Empress Gifty, descriptions her legal team now acknowledges had no basis in fact.
The statement stressed the revised position clearly: “It is now stated unequivocally that the allegations made by our client were false and completely without merit. Consequently, our client retracts every statement made therein.”
Along with the retraction, Nana Agradaa expressed what her counsel described as a sincere and unqualified apology to Empress Gifty for the harm the false accusations may have caused.
The apology also extended compassion to Empress Gifty’s family, colleagues, and loved ones, acknowledging the distress they may have endured as a result of the controversy.
