Christford Affadu Danful, better known online as TikTok personality Ekow Black, appeared in Adabraka Magistrate Court on allegations of domestic assault.
The 25-year-old, currently unemployed, faces a charge of assault under Section 84 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
Prosecutors say Ekow Black assaulted Rachel Oduro without her consent, intending to inflict pain and harm. According to the complaint, the incident occurred on November 30, 2026, in the Accra Magisterial District and involved a severe beating.
The case drew significant attention after a video allegedly showing the assault circulated widely on social media. Ekow Black, however, maintains that the incident took place several months prior to its online circulation.
He is also confronting additional charges, including threats to distribute intimate images and sextortion, Myjoyonline reported.
