A-list Secular Artistes Know They’re Empty – Yaw Siki Asserts

Yaw Siki

Yaw Siki, a gospel musician who once walked the secular music path, is urging aspiring artistes to think twice before chasing fame and fortune in secular music.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, he said many secular musicians are driven more by money than by a meaningful purpose.

“My perspective comes from experience. Musicians who sing secular songs for people to be happy, we are aware they’re doing it for the money because I’ve been there before,” Yaw Siki explained.

He advised newcomers to the industry to carefully weigh their decisions, especially those who have yet to establish a strong following.

“If you’re now coming into the industry, it’s not too late. If you’re not big like the A-list artistes, don’t bother yourself to be a secular artiste,” he cautioned.

Yaw Siki pointed out that once fame is achieved, it becomes much harder for artistes to switch to gospel due to the effort invested in building their brand.

“It’s sometimes difficult to repent when artistes get the fame and it’s due to how they toiled hard to get to that point,” he said.

He encouraged secular artistes feeling a divine calling to pursue God without fear of losing popularity, wealth, or recognition.

“You should understand that God can restore whatever you would lose while trying to move away from the secular world,” he reassured.

According to Yaw Siki, even top-tier secular artistes who appear successful and content often experience spiritual emptiness.

“Every A-list secular artiste knows that they’re empty even though they seem happy and making more money. They’re empty because they’re not doing what God wants them to do,” he noted.

He emphasized that true fulfillment comes from aligning with God’s purpose rather than chasing worldly success.

“They shouldn’t be scared of what they’ll lose or the people who will criticize them. If they’re able to serve their purpose in life, they’ll be satisfied spiritually and physically,” Yaw Siki further stated.
