Kumawood actress and businesswoman Patricia Osei Boateng is now the focus of a police manhunt after investigators linked her to a robbery case that ended in the fatal shooting of Andrews Amankwa at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi.

Her name surfaced after four suspects were arrested in connection with the attack. Authorities believe she had ties to the alleged gang behind the operation.

Details shared by Crime Check in a Facebook post dated February 26, 2026, identified Patricia as the wife of a suspected armed robbery leader known as Eric Antwi Duku. He is said to have played a central role in the robbery and was later shot dead during a gun battle with police officers.

Police sources cited in the post indicated that Patricia is suspected of aiding Duku both before and after the incident. She is alleged to have helped him disguise himself as a nurse to slip through police checkpoints. Crime Check further reported that she has since left the country.

The post read: “The police are on a manhunt for Patricia Osei Boateng, the wife of suspected armed robbery gang leader Duku, for her alleged involvement in several robberies. According to the police, Duku was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire after a robbery linked to the death of Mr. Amankwa, the father-in-law of Sammy Gyamfi.

“Patricia is believed to have assisted him by pretending to be a nurse to avoid police checks. She is also reported to have travelled to Dubai after some of the robberies.”

The development follows a briefing by the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on Monday, February 23, 2026. He confirmed that four individuals had been picked up in connection with the robbery that claimed the life of Andrews Amankwa.

According to the IGP, a special task team was immediately assembled after the crime was reported. The unit comprised the Ashanti Regional Commander, the Regional Intelligence Team, the Anti-Robbery Unit, and the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team from the CID Headquarters.

Investigators recorded their first major breakthrough on February 18, 2026, when Akwesi Manu was arrested. He was allegedly found with the Samsung mobile phone belonging to the deceased, a discovery that helped advance the case.
