Actress Juliet Ibrahim says she still believes marriage could be part of her future, even after navigating difficult relationships in the past.
During a conversation on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, the Ghanaian film star made it clear that she has not ruled out walking down the aisle again. The topic came up when host Kwame Dadzie asked whether she would be willing to remarry after her previous divorce and other relationship setbacks.
“Yes, I will. I will. Why not?” she said.
Juliet explained that time and experience have reshaped the way she approaches love and partnership. According to her, personal growth has helped her define what truly matters in a relationship and what she no longer has patience for.
“You already know what you want that adds value to your life right now. And you really don’t want any stress,” she indicated.
The actress added that her career and active lifestyle mean she cannot be with someone who expects her to step away from her ambitions. For her, the ideal partner is someone who understands her drive and respects the balance she maintains between tradition and modern life.
“I’m not the kind of woman who will just sit in the bedroom and kitchen and stay there. I have to be out there. So I need somebody who complements me, someone who understands that I’m both traditional and modern. We meet each other halfway,” she stated.
She also reflected on how her public image sometimes shapes how potential partners perceive her. Being a well known figure, she said, often leads some men to assume she is overly demanding or high maintenance. Juliet believes such assumptions quickly reveal who is not the right match.
“So when I hear guys say that, I just think, then you’re not the one for me. It actually makes it easier for me to weed out the ones who aren’t,” she added.
Juliet was previously married to Kwadwo Safo Jnr, the son of inventor and founder of Kantanka Automobile Company, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. Their marriage began in 2010 but ended four years later in 2014. The former couple share a son.
Following the divorce, she was also romantically linked to Nigerian rapper Iceberg Slim.
Over the years, the actress has spoken publicly about the painful experiences she faced in some of her relationships, including rape and abuse.
