Traditional priest Kwaku Bonsam says he receives more married women than men seeking spiritual intervention, often referred to as “juju,” with many of them hoping to keep their relationships intact.
He made the claim during an appearance on Joy Prime’s ‘Let’s Talk’ on May 5, 2026, explaining that most of the women who consult him are trying to secure their husbands’ affection in a period he believes is marked by increased romantic competition.
“Women come more. Looking at the statistics, about 25 married women visit me every day. Most of them want their partners to love them so much. These days, young school girls are snatching people’s husbands,” he said.
Beyond spiritual concerns, Kwaku Bonsam also touched on how appearance and personal grooming influence relationships, noting that some clients who come seeking spiritual solutions may actually need lifestyle changes instead.
“It’s not the spiritual charm; it’s the dressing, because she changed his hair, did the nails, wearing a sexy outfit,” he said.
He argued that when partners pay attention to their looks, it can help revive emotional connection and strengthen marital bonds over time.
Still, he warned against placing too much weight on physical appearance in marriage, insisting that character should come first.
“In marriage, you don’t look at the physical. Look at the heart,” he said, adding that “beauty fades with time while love and a good heart endure.”
