Veteran Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang is making a strong case for structured management in show business, arguing that it gives creatives the space to concentrate fully on their performance and development.
Speaking on Onua FM with Felicia Osei on May 7, 2026, he also opened up about his own professional setup, disclosing that he has worked with Lynx Entertainment for several years.
“Lynx Entertainment has been managing me for some years now,” he disclosed.
For him, the value of management goes beyond branding or visibility. It removes the day-to-day pressures that often distract artistes from their core work, such as organising schedules, handling deals, and sorting out travel and accommodation issues.
“Being under management also allows us, the artistes, to focus on what we’re supposed to do. We wouldn’t have to go and negotiate, think of where we would sleep, and other stuff,” he explained.
He added that when artistes take on every responsibility themselves, they risk losing time that could otherwise be used to sharpen their craft and grow professionally.
“If that happens, it takes quality time away from you—maybe time to learn or time to improve on your skill—then you will be handling things someone is supposed to handle,” he said.
In his view, having a dedicated team behind an artiste is not just helpful but can significantly shape long-term progress and success in the industry.
“That really helps when you’re under management,” he added.
