Veteran Ghanaian actor Agya Koo has disclosed that he was unaware he was joining a movie production owned by fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, until he arrived on set.
The actor said he was approached by the film’s director and had no reason to believe the project was being produced by LilWin.
Speaking in a video shared on social media on August 11, 2026, while on set, Agya Koo explained that LilWin did not personally contact him about the production.
According to him, he would have gladly considered an invitation from LilWin if the actor had reached out to him directly, provided his schedule allowed.
“Honestly, if Kwadwo had called me and I had time, I would have come. If I was busy too, I would have let him know. It was the director rather who called me and I didn’t know it was Kwadwo’s project until I got on set,” he said.
Agya Koo said he later questioned LilWin about why he had not informed him personally, particularly because members of Ghana’s entertainment industry often rely on one another for support.
“I even asked him why he didn’t make me know that the project was his because we’re here to help each other,” he stated.
Despite the circumstances surrounding his involvement, Agya Koo said he remained focused on delivering a strong performance.
He stressed that actors must approach every production with the right mindset and commitment, regardless of how they were invited to the project. He said putting in the necessary effort ultimately helps create movies that keep audiences interested.
“With this kind of movie, you had to really prepare your mind and put in your best so that those who will watch will be entertained and demand more,” Agya Koo indicated.
The veteran actor also urged Ghanaians to support the production once it is released, pointing out the time, work and financial investment that went into making the film.
“Ghanaians should support this when it comes out. We put in a lot of effort and resources, so kindly support us so that we can do more,” Agya Koo pleaded.
