Ghanaian gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy has paid tribute to veteran musician and producer Nacee, describing him as a major pillar in the development of her music ministry.
According to Ohemaa Mercy, Nacee’s influence on her career goes beyond individual collaborations, as his contribution helped shape the sound and direction of her ministry during its formative years.
The gospel singer made the revelation while speaking on the GTV Breakfast Show on Monday, August 31, 2026. She reflected on her musical journey and highlighted the important role Nacee played in helping her establish herself in the gospel music space.
She pointed to some of the songs they worked on together, including “Edin Jesus” and “Menwo Da”, as notable works that hold a special place in her career.
For Ohemaa Mercy, however, her music is not simply about creating songs or building a successful career. She believes there is a deeper spiritual purpose behind the messages she delivers through her music.
She explained that she often receives songs through what she considers divine inspiration and sees the music as one of the ways God communicates messages to her and, ultimately, to her listeners.
Recounting one such experience connected to Psalm 118, Ohemaa Mercy said she received a powerful assurance that, “You won’t die, you will live to declare the goodness of the Lord.”
She said experiences like this have played a significant role in strengthening her faith and influencing the messages she chooses to share with her audience.
