Kumawood actor Oteele’s hopes of quickly restoring his marriage may face a difficult test after his wife, Gifty Nana Afriyie, confirmed that the couple are currently separated.
Gifty made the disclosure during a live TikTok session, days after Oteele publicly declared that he would do everything possible to win her back and bring her home.
The development follows the circulation of an adult tape involving the actor, which reportedly exposed alleged extramarital affairs and triggered discussions about the state of his marriage.
Oteele subsequently turned to social media to express his determination to reconcile with his wife, declaring: “‘Mark my words, I’ll bring her back!’”
However, Gifty, who has reportedly moved out of their matrimonial home, has now made it clear that the couple are not currently living together as husband and wife.
“Yes, we have separated. But I don’t know if divorce is the same as separation, but we are in separation,” she responded to a netizen during the TikTok live session.
She explained that the separation does not necessarily mean the marriage has already ended in divorce, but suggested that the future of their relationship could depend on whether they are able to settle their differences.
“If we are not able to work out our differences during this period, then what’s next will continue,” Gifty further stated.
