Ghanaian gospel musician Bernice Offei has died at the age of 63, days after her disappearance in Accra raised concerns among her family, friends and colleagues in the gospel music fraternity.
The veteran musician reportedly passed away on the morning of Saturday, September 12, 2026, according to sources cited by Citi News.
News of her death comes shortly after an appeal was made for information about her whereabouts after she was reported missing in Accra.
She was subsequently found, with reports at the time indicating that she was safe.
Bernice Offei was a familiar name in Ghana’s gospel music scene and built a career spanning several years. She was particularly known for songs such as Hold On and Life Is So Short, which contributed to her standing among gospel music lovers.
Her passing has come as a shock to those who had followed her career, particularly following the recent concern over her whereabouts.
