Ghanaian singer KiDi has expressed strong admiration for Fameye, saying the singer’s talent and depth of thought deserve to take him much further in the music industry.
KiDi believes Fameye possesses qualities that distinguish him from many of his peers, particularly his approach to music and the wisdom reflected in his creative work.
The ‘Touch It’ hitmaker shared his thoughts during an interview on Hitz FM on September 15, 2026, while discussing how his own approach to making music has evolved over the years.
KiDi explained that when he began his career, he took pride in being able to write and produce his own songs. However, after a decade in the industry, he has developed a different appreciation for collaboration and the specialised talents that other creatives bring into music.
“When I was coming up and because of where we’re from, I used to think that when I say I wrote my songs myself and produced them myself, I would be proud and happy. I used to do it, and I’ve done that for the last 10 years of my career,” he said.
According to KiDi, some of the artistes who have reached the highest levels of the global music industry understand the importance of working with people who possess exceptional songwriting and production abilities.
“The people that are at the place that we’re trying to get to, the people who are there, this is how they operate, and that’s why their songs are up there. Some people are born to write music and produce music. I feel like from where we are, it’s nice to say I did everything, but I’ve done that all my career.”
His reflections on collaboration led him to Fameye, whom he identified as an artiste he believes has yet to reach the height his abilities warrant.
KiDi acknowledged that Fameye is already well known among Ghanaian music fans, but argued that his creative ability and way of thinking should place him on an even bigger platform.
“I feel like Fameye is one of the artistes in this country that people know, but I feel he is supposed to be even bigger than he is. His mind, the way he approaches music, is just on a different level,” he stated.
The singer went further to highlight what he considers Fameye’s exceptional depth, particularly his knowledge and wisdom.
“If you tell me Fameye was one of Jesus’ disciples, I will believe it because of the depth in his knowledge and wisdom,” KiDi further stated.
