Ghanaian musician Kelvyn Boy has pushed back against the perception that his fondness for women makes him a womanizer.
He made the clarification during an interview on Hitz FM, where he was asked directly about his feelings towards women.
Kelvyn Boy acknowledged that he likes women but said that should not be confused with being a womanizer. According to the musician, his appreciation for women does not mean he constantly seeks their company or engages in relationships with them.
“I’m not a womanizer. I’m not a womanizer, but I like females,” Kelvyn Boy said.
The conversation also touched on a common stereotype surrounding men and their lifestyles, with Kelvyn Boy being asked whether he identifies with the idea that men are typically known for loving women, smoking or drinking.
Of the three, he made it clear that his only connection is his affection for women, while distancing himself from drinking.
“I don’t really drink, and I love women. My mother is a woman. I love women,” he averred.
Kelvyn Boy also challenged the impression that he spends much of his time in the company of women.
Rather, the musician said he is more comfortable spending time with his male friends, stressing that his social circle is not dominated by women.
“No, I spend time with my guys more. I spend time with my guys more,” Kelvyn Boy further stated.
