Kumchacha Blasts NDC Appointees for Ignoring Calls After Coming to Power

Prophet Kumchacha

Prophet Kumchacha has expressed frustration with some government appointees of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing them of turning their backs on people who supported the party during its time in opposition.

The founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries International said several ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs) and chief executives of state institutions have become difficult to reach, with some failing to answer or return his calls.

During a discussion on Aluta FM, the preacher complained that the attitude of some NDC officials was disappointing, particularly when the government still had two years left in its current term.

“Some ministers, MPs, top NDC leaders and state CEOs, when we call you, you should answer our calls. I’m tired. It won’t be long before your remaining two years in office are up. Some people are eating while others are going hungry,” Kumchacha said.

Despite his criticism, Kumchacha singled out Agriculture Minister Eric Opoku, GoldBod Chief Executive Officer Sammy Gyamfi and National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) CEO Eric Adjei for praise.

According to him, the three officials have demonstrated a willingness to assist people who approach them with various concerns, adding that they sometimes go as far as using their personal funds to support those in need.

He contrasted their conduct with that of other government appointees, whom he accused of blocking contacts and making themselves inaccessible to people seeking their assistance.

Kumchacha called on NDC officials appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to reconsider their approach to the public, especially those who stood by the party before it regained power.

He argued that politicians often maintain close contact with supporters while in opposition but become less accessible after securing power and assuming public office.

“Politicians do not learn. When they are in opposition, they are very interactive and readily answer your calls, but when they come into power and assume positions, they stop answering their calls.

“These top NDC leaders, especially those President Mahama has appointed to various positions, should learn from this. Not everyone who calls you is asking for money, but the complaints I am receiving about the NDC are very troubling,” he noted.

The preacher further disclosed that he had not received any personal benefit from the NDC government since it returned to office, despite the support he says he gave the party while it was in opposition.

However, he distinguished his concerns about some government appointees from his relationship with President Mahama and the First Lady, Lordina Mahama.

Prophet Kumchacha maintained that he continued to hold the presidential couple in high regard, describing the President as a good person even though he had not benefited from the administration.

“John Mahama, as a person, is very good, but I have not benefited in any way from this government since it came into office,” the outspoken Ghanaian prophet stated.
