Ghanaian rapper Dadie Opanka has indicated that he would gladly accept an opportunity to work with President John Dramani Mahama’s government, describing such a chance as a privilege he would embrace without hesitation.

During an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, the musician said he is open to serving the current administration, pointing to a financial advisory role as an area where he believes he could contribute while advancing his studies.

“Why not? I am willing and ever ready to work because it would be an honour. I only wish it would come to pass. President Mahama, since I am currently studying to become a financial adviser, I believe I can work under your government,” he posited.

Dadie Opanka also used the platform to commend President Mahama’s handling of the economy, saying the government’s efforts have helped reduce the pressure of rising living costs within its first year.

He was quick to clarify that his comments were not rooted in partisan allegiance, stressing that he does not identify with any political party and judges leaders solely on their performance in office.

“I must say he has done very well in his first year in office. I will rate him a 7 out of 10. I am not an NPP or an NDC supporter. I will support any political party that performs well when in office. So, if this were the NPP, I would have also applauded them,” Dadie Opanka stated.
