“I Feel Like a GOAT” – Pappy Kojo Opens Up on Life, Fame and His Smooth Rise

Pappy Kojo

Ghanaian rapper Pappy Kojo has been reflecting on his personal journey and music career, describing his identity as one defined by uniqueness both on and off the mic.

In a recent interview with Kafui Dey, he revisited his upbringing and the experiences that have shaped how he sees himself today.

“I feel like a GOAT, not just in music but as a human being. When I look back, I’m alive, where I came from and where I am right now, you have to be the GOAT to go through what I went through,” he said.

He explained that he has kept a record of his life over the years, insisting nothing about his story is exaggerated.

“It’s all there, I’ve documented everything. I’m not going to sit here and lie to you, but I’m a serious Dbee,” he stated.

Even with that self-assurance, Pappy Kojo was careful to point out that his story is not one of extreme struggle.

“It wasn’t really about going through life. Maybe when my mum would leave me in Ghana, travel abroad and I would miss her,” he explained.

He added that, in comparison to many others in the industry and beyond, his path has been relatively steady.

The rapper also pointed to his breakout moment, saying his rise came swiftly after linking up with Joey B, which catapulted him into mainstream attention.

“I never went through hardship. Even with my career in Ghana, I was never like an underground artiste trying to break through. I just came, did a song with Joey B and it just blew up. I didn’t have to struggle in life like that and I’m thankful for that,” Pappy Kojo further stated.
