Shatta Wale Shows Up in Court as Webkid Afrika’s Legal Battle Deepens

Shatta Wale

Popular Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has shown support for his fan Abdul Gafaru Sadi, well known as Webkid Afrika, as he continues to face legal challenges over an alleged defamation case involving Stonebwoy.

The artiste was spotted at the court premises alongside his public relations manager, Sammy Flex, in a video that has since gained attention online. Some members of the Shatta Movement were also present, showing solidarity with Webkid Afrika as they followed proceedings.

Webkid Afrika has been in custody for close to a month after his arrest over alleged defamatory posts involving Stonebwoy and his wife and family. His attempts to secure bail have reportedly been unsuccessful, keeping him in detention while the matter remains before the court.

The case took another turn during a recent court appearance after reports emerged that the charges against him had increased from three to six. The change reportedly affected an appeal submitted by his lawyer, adding another layer to the ongoing legal battle.

Since Webkid Afrika’s arrest, Shatta Wale and his supporters have repeatedly called for his release, expressing concern about the length of his detention and demanding a favourable outcome for the social media commentator.

The dancehall star also released a solidarity song for Webkid Afrika shortly after his arrest, a move that attracted reactions from fans and followers who have continued to rally behind the detained supporter.

As the court process continues, attention remains focused on the outcome of the case and the calls from Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement for Webkid Afrika’s release.
