DopeNation to Support Flood Victims in Accra With GH¢1,000 Donations

DopeNation

Ghanaian music duo DopeNation has pledged financial support for residents affected by the severe flooding that hit parts of Accra on Monday, saying they will channel part of their ongoing European tour earnings toward relief efforts.

The twin brothers shared the announcement on their social media platforms on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, outlining plans to donate GH¢1,000 each to several affected households. The gesture comes after the floods left a trail of destruction across the capital, including loss of life and widespread damage to homes and property.

They admitted the contribution would not be enough to address the full scale of the disaster, but said they felt a responsibility to step in regardless.

“The floods in our homes, resulting in the loss of life and valuable property, aren’t just here to break us but to remind us of how strong we should be as one people with love,” they wrote.

“We intend to give GH¢1,000 each to a number of victims and families affected in some parts of Accra from our European tour proceeds. This won’t solve the problem, nor will it bring back the lives and property, but will at least ease some of the burden among us,” they stated.
