Akufo-Addo dismisses 24 DCEs with immediate effect

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has fired twenty-four district chief executives.

The President stated in a letter dated Friday, February 2, that section 20 (3) (b) of the Local Government Act, 2014 (Act 936) and Article 243 (3) b of the Constitution govern his judgment.

Daniel Owuredu of Nkoranza North and Patrick Kumor of Weija-Gbawe are two of the DCEs that have lost their positions.

Their reason for termination remains undisclosed.

However, President Akufo-Addo has replaced them with the following people.
