Shatta Wale Vows 20% of SHAXI Revenue to Support Ashanti Schools, Hospitals Through Manhyia Palace If SHAXI Leads Kumasi Rides

Shatta Wale - Shaxi

Shatta Wale has promised to give back to the Ashanti Region by committing part of his ride-hailing business earnings to education and healthcare projects. The pledge followed his appearance at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic: The Homecoming in Kumasi, where fans turned out in their numbers to celebrate the two stars.

The dancehall artiste revealed in a social media post that SHAXI, his transport service, is on track to become Kumasi’s leading ride-hailing app. He said that once it does, 20 percent of its proceeds from the region would be directed to the Manhyia Palace to support schools and hospitals.

“SMALL TIME SHAXI WILL BE KUMASI’s NUMBER 1 RIDE HAILING APP AND I WILL GIVE 20% OF OUR PROCEEDS TO THE MANHYIA PALACE TO CATER FOR SCHOOLS AND HOSPITALS IN THE REGION. THE LOVE IS TOO MUCH, THE SUPPORT IS TOO MUCH. THANK YOU OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU II.. I BOW MY KING,” Shatta Wale wrote.

His tribute to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II emphasized his desire to connect the initiative with the traditional authority of the Ashanti Kingdom. The announcement also comes at a time when Kumasi’s strong show of support has reinforced the artiste’s bond with the city.

Beyond his music career, the move reflects Shatta Wale’s broader vision of merging entrepreneurship with social responsibility. Launched in 2021 as a homegrown alternative to international ride-hailing platforms, SHAXI has been promoted as both a job creation tool for Ghanaian youth and a vehicle for community development.
