The children of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, have dismissed reports suggesting tension between them and their mother, Mrs. Akosua Serwaa Fosuh.
In a press statement dated January 20, 2026, they described circulating social media narratives as false, malicious, and deeply misleading.
They clarified that claims of plans to arrest their mother or attempts to prevent her from speaking on their behalf are entirely unfounded. They stressed that their relationship with their mother remains strong, loving, and unbreakable.
The children also addressed allegations against businessman Kenpong, who has been accused by some of having hidden motives for supporting their mother. They said these suggestions are reckless and unfair, particularly during a sensitive period for the family.
Reaffirming their loyalty, they emphasized that they stand with their mother through all current challenges.
The statement concluded with a call for the public to ignore and refrain from spreading rumours that threaten family unity and disrespect the legacy of their late father.
