Gospel artiste Samuel Opoku, widely known as Broda Sammy, has openly shared that one of his biggest dreams is to have a child with Evangelist Diana Asamoah.
Speaking with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, Broda Sammy was asked whether his past comments about marrying Diana Asamoah were meant in jest.
“I’m very serious about it. What I said about trying to get into a relationship with Diana Asamoah is not a joke. If I were joking, would I have gone to help her serve at her mother’s funeral?” he said, pointing to his active role during the final funeral rites of Diana Asamoah’s late mother as evidence of his intentions.
Broda Sammy explained that he participated fully in the event, assisting with service duties, which he sees as proof of his genuine interest. He also described Diana Asamoah as his ideal match, noting his preference for slim women.
“Diana is my type. I like slim women, but because I was married at the time, I couldn’t approach her directly. Now that I’m divorced, I’ll make my intentions clear when I see her,” he shared.
The gospel singer went further, expressing his desire to be the one to “disvirgin” Diana and father her child. He added that he believes speaking his intentions into existence will make them happen.
“Evangelist Diana Asamoah is a virgin, and now that I’m divorced, my dream is to get her pregnant because she is my dream girl. I believe one day it will happen because whatever I say with my mouth comes to pass,” he stated.
Broda Sammy’s revelations come days after he confirmed his divorce from his France-based wife, Obaa Yaa. On March 14, 2026, during a United Showbiz discussion, he explained that the separation followed a phone call he received during a 2025 Christmas performance in Manso. The call informed him that his then-wife had returned the customary drinks used in their traditional marriage, marking the end of their union.
