Mr Beautiful has dismissed the popular advice of “forgive and forget,” insisting he does not consider it a realistic approach to dealing with human behaviour, and even went as far as describing the phrase as “stupid.”
The Kumawood actor made the comments during a discussion with Emelia Brobbey on her Okukuseku talk show, where he reflected on how people can shift between good and harmful behaviour depending on their circumstances.
According to him, forgiveness is possible, but erasing the memory of an offence is not part of how he handles relationships or personal experiences. He stressed that holding on to past actions helps him stay alert in his interactions with others.
“Emelia, I don’t forgive and forget. That saying is ‘stupid’. I will forgive you, but I will never forget. Anyone who forgives and forgets is a senseless person. Forgive, but never forget,” he said.
The actor went on to explain that he mentally records every wrong done against him, arguing that it plays a role in how he makes decisions going forward.
“You know what, anyone who has offended me in this life, I have kept all of it under lock and key, and that makes me happy because whenever I think about it, it helps me make decisions,” Mr Beautiful further stated.
