Another Train Crash In Sekondi Result In Injuries

At least three persons have sustained injuries in a train crash that happened after 7:30 pm on Tuesday December 21st at Sekondi-Nkontompo in the Western Region.

The accident happened when a locomotive that was carrying empty trucks and some manganese from last Friday’s Wassa Manso train accident site ran into an over-speeding tipper track that failed to stop at the Sekondi Nkontompo rail-crossing.

The accident which resulted in some injuries including the tipper truck driver and his mate as well as the train driver created some traffic on the Sekondi to Takoradi beach road.

This comes just within three days after five persons lost their lives in another head-on manganese train collision on Friday December 17 at Wassa Manso.
