MzGee Advises Women to Choose Faith and Positivity Over Pressure in Infertility Struggles

Ghanaian media personality, MzGee, has advised women confronting infertility to lean on faith and cultivate a stronger mindset, rather than succumbing to the weight of medical reports or societal expectations.

Speaking at the Stronger Together Women’s Health Conference, she opened up about her difficult path to motherhood, which included a miscarriage, a failed pregnancy, and months of ovulation treatments before welcoming her son in January 2025. Those setbacks, she said, tested her strength in ways she never imagined.

For her, outlook was just as critical as medical advice. “I used to ask myself, what are you saying to yourself? What are you doing?” MzGee recalled, describing how prayer, music, and daily affirmations carried her through the lowest moments.

Her openness about private struggles is not new. On her Gee O’Clock show earlier this year, she revealed how divorce and social pressure compounded her journey, with judgment often coming from other women rather than men.

“At every turn, it was women asking, ‘When will you marry again? When will you have a child? What are you waiting for?’ The pressure was constant, and most of the time, it wasn’t from men but from women,” she said.

In February 2025, she disclosed that she had been separated for three years and legally divorced for two, pointing to the relentless criticism as proof of how unforgiving society can be toward women in personal crises.

Her appeal to peers was clear: shift the culture of scrutiny. “Instead of tearing each other down, let’s learn to give people breathing space. You don’t know the battles someone is fighting. Show love, not pressure,” MzGee posited.
