Doing the right thing goes beyond politics – Fiifi Coleman tells Ghanaians

At a time when political divisions dominate national discourse, Ghanaian actor Fiifi Coleman is urging citizens to take personal responsibility and stand up for what is right, regardless of political affiliation.

In a recent interview on Okay FM, Coleman criticized the tendency of some Ghanaians to complain about issues while expecting others to solve them.

“I’ve noticed that many people keep complaining about problems, waiting for someone else to fix them. But why not step up and take action yourself?” he said.

The actor stressed that integrity and doing the right thing should transcend party lines.

“If you stand for what is right, you don’t need to align with any political party,” he emphasized.

Coleman mentioned Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as an example of a dedicated public servant who continues to earn public respect, despite being appointed by the Akufo-Addo administration.

“Look at IGP Dampare—everyone praises him. You’d think he would have been replaced by now, but he’s still there, working hard and earning admiration,” he noted.

He encouraged Ghanaians to prioritize diligence and excellence in their duties, stating that the public values competence over political allegiance.

“No matter your political affiliation, just do your job well. If you work diligently, Ghanaians will judge you based on your actions, not your party ties,” Fiifi Coleman added.
