‘Still Chillin’ at Home’ – Fire Oja Denies Mzbel’s Claim That He Was Arrested

Prophet Fire Oja

Reports claiming Prophet Fire Oja, head of Zion Prayer Ministries International, had been arrested by the Ghana Police Service are false, the pastor said in a social media post.

On January 6, 2026, Fire Oja wrote on his official Facebook page that he was “still chillin’ at home” and dismissed the arrest claims as “fake.”

“Still chillin’ at home yesterday and today, vibin’ life, and ppl are runnin’ wild with fake news, sayin’ I’m in cells. I have never been arrested,” he said.

The post, however, sparked skepticism among some social media users, with several questioning whether it came directly from Fire Oja or a representative. Others encouraged him to go live on video to end the rumors once and for all.

The pastor had been reported to be arrested on January 5, 2026, following allegations that he made defamatory statements about musician Mzbel. Fire Oja had claimed that Mzbel had been ill, hospitalized in Kasoa, and had practiced ‘soul travel’ after her recovery.

Mzbel said on Instagram that she reported Fire Oja’s claims to the police, prompting the alleged arrest.
